The Voiceless Innocents

The greatest social injustice in our contemporary world is against a group of people who are unprotected, treated like they are insignificant, are experiencing genocide worldwide, and cannot speak for themselves.

The greatest social injustice in our contemporary world is against a group of people who are unprotected, treated like they are insignificant, are experiencing worldwide genocide, and cannot speak for themselves. This population of people made up 42 percent of worldwide deaths last year. About 800,000 are brutally murdered yearly in the United States alone! Over the past 48 years more than 62 million of these people have died at the hands of their persecutors/executioners. No other group of people have suffered the amount of injustice and social disregard as inconsequential and useless. This should outrage any human being that has an ounce of morality. This group of people I am speaking about is the preborn.

We must be a voice for the voiceless and fervently pray for these precious souls. These precious gifts to humanity are being thrown away like garbage! We need to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for these people. They are human beings with a living soul and deserve an opportunity to live. God says, in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." God knows us before we are born we are living souls before we are born! David wrote in Psalms 139:13-17  "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.  (14)  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  (15)  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  (16)  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.  (17)  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!"

God takes notice of each one of these murdered souls. People will stand before God in the day of judgement and give account for these deeds. Let us not commit the sin of omission by sitting by and allowing this to go on without fighting (figuratively speaking, not literal physical assault) for the preborn. I believe prayer is the most effective thing we can do, because God can change hearts. However, we must be involved to aid groups who are lobbying congress and the SCOTUS. We can contact our representatives and let them know where we stand on the issue. We can help educate others about the truth of when life begins. We can share the love of Jesus with women who are considering abortions to let them know there are alternatives and people that would take that child and love them as their own. There are many ways we can be involved, and pray, pray, pray!
